Fall Prevention Month

It is the last day of September - the final day of Fall Prevention Month in Canada. Yes, that is a thing. see  http://fallpreventionmonth.ca  Upon first hearing of this designation, I thought it was just the annual Canadian effort to deny the end of summer has arrived,,, which has been particularly hard to do this September when our golf courses were covered with snow. Seriously, falls are major problem in workplaces and public spaces, but also particularly in the everyday liv es of older adults. Ann and I should have posted about this earlier in the month, since we are now both Certified Professional Consultants on Aging (CPCA) We intend to further develop our knowledge and skills and begin actually offering consulting services. We are registered for back-to-back conferences in Vancouver in October presented by Age-Well Network and the Canadian Association on Gerontology.
